On the way to Belgium, the book got lost. I still hope for it’s return but until then there’s nothing I can do, I’m so sorry. <3

I have received a number of messages from people asking whether they still have a place in the book or not.

If you deleted your tumblr and didn’t tell me what your new one was, if you turned off your ask box or unfollowed the blog and didn’t respond to any of my posts trying to contact you, If I explicitly said you don’t have a place any more for one of the above reasons, then you don’t have a page any longer.

If none of this applies to you then you still do.

I'm so relieved that the book is safe! When it went "incognito" I seriously feared that someone had just kept it. At least now its back, and it'll be great when its done. Out of interest, you may be interesting to Google "Blurb" - the website, they make really high quality books that others can buy, which would be really nice. You could scan all the pages in and make a book that people could buy. Anyway, I'm rambling. Glad that the book is safe, and can't wait for it to finish its journey. :)

Yes, you are still in the book. Only people who explicitly said “I don’t want my page anymore”, deleted their tumblr or stopped following the blog even after I reminded them to got deleted.

I think I’m going to start a monthly OBP newsletter type of thing. It will cover the journey of the book, the added pages and any extra issues that need to be addressed. Take this as the 1st edition.

The Book

At the beginning of the month I sent the book from London to Canada, complete with an edited list of who’s in it. Everyone who applied has been allocated a page, and everyone who withdrew their place in the book has been removed from the list and all their details deleted. I tracked the parcel, however I don’t seem to be able to track it inside Canada so I’m unaware of its wareabouts at the moment. I will update you all as soon as it’s arrived at its destination.

I’m hoping to start a radio show on a volunteer only community radio station, but by definition I don’t get a budget to pay for the music I want to play. I have such a passion for music and I really want to listen to as much as possible, and also pay for it because that’s something I believe in. The reason I’m saying this is because to raise money I would like to put some adverts on this page. Considering most people who follow the project follow this tumblr and don’t look at the tumblr directly, I don’t think it would affect the project as a whole. It would just really help me out. I could also put a charity element into it, donate 10% of each month’s earnings to charity? I’m writing about this because I think it’s important that you have input into this. So are you okay with the adverts, yes/no?

Thank you for all your applications, it’s great to have the book oversubscribed again almost a year on.
I’ll be in touch over the next day or two with who I’ve chosen, as before I’ll pick people based on where they live/general enthusiasm etc. It’s NOT first come first serve, as that would have given an advantage to certain time zones as proved by all the first applications coming from one country.

Considering some people due to be in the book no longer have tumblr and haven’t done anything about getting in touch with me, I am opening up 6 places. To apply you must submit your address and promise that you can commit to the book. This is essential. We’re all a family when it comes down to it, so you must be a part of this. Applications will be open for 2 days, until 9pm (GMT) Wednesday, as it is important to get the book back in progress.

If you need to change your address, can no longer commit or are on this list, contact me immediately.

I was thinking of making some One Blank Page “merchandise”, the ideas I had so far were stickers and badges. Nothing too big or expensive.
A lot of the money (I don’t know how much it would make so I can’t tell you now) would go in to this project, and possibly further projects.
I’ll do a big post soon about getting the book back for the first time since it started, and again if you have a change in contact details please tell me now so I can change the postage details. Thank you all for participating, supporting, everything. It really feels like a big family.

The book returns! She sends her apologies but it’s not her fault that it didn’t work out… however it highlights the importance of communicating when the book’s your responsibility, and making sure that I have your right address.

So someone has the book but she deleted her Tumblr and is not answering your messages? You know who it is? I hope that it'll turn out to be okay!

No, no news from the book. I am considering tracking down the phone number of the girl, but as the participants I need your advice. Would you all be okay with this being policy if you cannot be contacted any other way?

I want to focus on this one for now. :)
